pink and neutrals

(Intimissimi tee, Zara bag and studded necklace, Gap trousers, vintage scarf, Nine West pumps, Paul Smith belt)

I love to pair together nude and neutral colors. I think they are the universally flattering hues and the universally beautiful hues. In my mind such shades are the epitome of the being “effortlessly well put together” that I often read about on blogs, magazines, everywhere. Also, they represent a great option to wear during transitional weather because they are not too dark – i.e. too winter-ish – but still not too colorful – i. e. too summer-ish. This is a great plus because you can play with the colors, the shapes and the materials of the accessorizes to give the whole outfit a unique and more personal touch.

Here I tried to give my camel Gap trousers a slightly more interesting vibe by adding my nude Nine West pumps (little hint: nude high heels shoes does wonders in elongating the legs! Plus they can be paired with really every color in the world!). Decided also to wear an all-black ensemble of accessories i.e. a structured Zara bag and my studded necklace because I wanted to balance the light colors I was wearing together toning everything a little bit down. Finally I decided to add an unexpected pop of yellow, knotting a vintage scarf on my bag.
