Wearing: Uniqlo velvet trousers, Zara shoes and sweater, H&M blouse, Coccinelle bag
It is freezing cold here in Milan! Winter is here, no doubt.
Probably the best part of winter is to wear thick and big and comfortable knits. This winter is all about chunky knit sweaters and I like it. It’s like wearing something that sweetly and warmly hugs you and gives you a feeling of calm and peace. Very much necessary to brave the cold outside. Velvet is also one of my favorite fabrics to wear during winter time because of its smoothness that amplifies the feeling of warm comfort that I was talking about a couple lines above and that I desperately need if I cannot have my hot coffee to warm me up.
I was looking for the perfect thick grey knit sweater and I found it last week at Zara. White is my number one choice of colors but grey comes up close in the second place. It is my go-to color this winter. White is classic, grey is way more interesting because it sets off any other color without being too flashy. Also, lately I have discovered that I can pair it with all camel and honey hues to create an unexpectedly feminine combination that feel so appropriate everyday from 9 to 5.
