Wearing: Zara sweater, skirt, bag, scarf, Patrizia Pepe boots, Oysho coat
Big, thick, chunky sweaters seem to be the fashion keywords this winter: those kind of sweaters are in fact everywhere! For many years I have avoided chunky sweaters during winter because those made me feel bigger then I actually was but fashion is teaching me that that was the wrong way to feel towards such shapes and fabrics. If you’re wearing some clothes that are thick you have to learn how to play with proportions to avoid some unfair unwanted effects (i.e. gaining a fake fuller figure). I have learned that if I am wearing something cocoon-shaped or thick on one part of my body I do counterbalance that with something tighter or a little bit form fitting on the other part. That is my way of getting dressed lately and it makes sense! I must confess the results in terms of pairing pieces are interesting, so I am slowly re-incorporating chunky, thick and big shapes and fabrics into my closet.
