I am beyond excited and honored to have been chosen by Warby Parker to help showing its new eyeglasses Fall 2014 Collection.
Do you already know Warby Parker? If you don’t, well let me tell you its formula: designer eyewear + revolutionary price + socially conscious business.
Sounds impossible, right? But it’s totally real.
Warby Parker sells prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses, but they do that in a way that is completely different, new and unique.
They design the frames in-house, having full control on the creative process and of the materials and technology used. They talk to customers directly, and that has a great impact on the price of their frames (starting at 95 $!). In addition, their business is not only about selling, but it is also about giving because for each pair of frames sold, they give a pair to someone in need.
A business model like this seems to be from another world, but it exists in real life!
I’ve been lucky enough to have been sent a preview of Warby Parker brand new Fall 2014 eyeglasses Collection that is available from today 3rd September, and I love it!
The Designers at Warby Parker have made an amazing job at mixing some nerd style with a vintage feel and the best modern materials. I think that the mixture of such elements is perfect. And that’s not enough: Warby Parker eyeglass frames are so versatile that they can truly meet everyone’s taste.
To demonstrate this, I have chosen my favorite 5 eyeglass frames from their new Fall 2014 Collection and I have styled those with my favorite trends of this coming Autumn season, adding also some beauty tips.
For this office ready look I chose the CHANDLERTI frames because their blue color is a modern take on the usual black attire that we always wear at work.
Beauty tip: dark frames should be paired with a thin eyeliner and a neutral eye shadow to avoid the “too much” effect.
For this androgynous look I chose the NASH frames because they are discreet, I love that they make the look but without being too intrusive.
Beauty tip: choose a lengthening mascara instead of a volumizing one to avoid the “heavy” effect!
For this glamorous look I chose the ANNETTE frames because the tortoise and the shape make the look sophisticated and elegant.
Beauty tip: wearing glasses means that the eyes are the leading element, so the under-eye is critical. For this reason it’s better to use a light concealer to avoid a cakey effect.
For this boy-ish look I chose the CRANETI frames because for me grey is the color of coziness and because it is an easy and quite masculine color.
Beauty tip: if you’re sporting dark frames dare to wear a red lipstick! It would be the perfect touch to add personality to a plain boy-ish look.
For this minimal look I chose the ANNETTE frames because those have a basic shape with an unexpected twist.
Beauty tip: when you wear glasses the upper part of the face makes the big impact, so you can balance your look by wearing lipstick. If you’re wearing non neutral or colored shades a nude lipstick or a natural lipgloss is just what you need to complete your look!
Thank you Warby Parker for giving me the great opportunity of this collaborationa and above all for making me change my mind on frames because they truly are a super fashionable accessory!
